Jan LaVerne Ashby, 49, of Paris passed away Sunday October 24, 2010 at her home. Cremation was handled by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. There are no services scheduled at this time.

She was born June 17, 1961 in LaFayette, Indiana a daughter of James W. and JoAnn Bessie Jared Ashby. She was a member of the local union #157 Plumber Steamfitters Union in Lafayette.

Survivors include children Jared W. Ashby, James H. Ashby, Lydia L. Sanders; her parents James and JoAnn Ashby; brother, Richard R. Ashby all of Lafayette; sister, Debra Jo Trader and husband Brad of Florida; grandmother, Ora Mae Wallace of Paris; aunts, Holly Wallace Page and Merry Post and other numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
