David Ernest Burden, 64, of Sumner passed away July 18, 2010 in Paris Regional Medical Center.

 He was born on January 21, 1946 in Dallas a son of Raymond and Mary Jo Ormsby Burden. David was an accomplished artist, loved to fish, and was a rancher until he retired due to his health.

He was married to Edna Ruth Grimes Burden on March 4, 1984 in Paris. She preceded him in death on February 18, 2004.  He is survived by his sister-in-law Carlotta Grimes of Sumner and several nieces and nephews.

 Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the Little Vine Cemetery with Rev. Brad Michael officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Almand, David Cox, Sr., Michael Crosby, Darrell Beal, Scott Almand, and Christopher Crosby.  Family will receive friends from 7 till 8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
