STEVEN GEORGE SHOEMAKE 41, of Paris, passed from the arms of his family and friends and into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas following a motorcycle accident near Dodge City, Kansas. A time of celebration and remembrance will be held at 6:30 PM, Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Love Civic Center in Paris with Pastor Paul Dearinger officiating.

Steve was born September 11, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to George Edwin and Roxanne Wright Shoemake. He graduated from Paris High School and Paris Junior College. He was an entrepreneur owning and operating several related businesses. He married Traci Lynn Horton on January 26, 1991 in Paris. They had a beautiful daughter, Mallory, born August 12, 1997. Steve enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycles, spending weekends at Lake Texoma with friends, and traveling with his family and friends. His motto was “Live, Laugh, Love”.

Mr. Shoemake is survived by his wife, Traci Shoemake; his daughter, Mallory Shoemake; his mother, Roxanne Raper and husband, Jerry; his father, George Shoemake and wife, Neelea; his sister, Gina Korczynski and husband, Steve and their two children, Erin and Connor; his maternal grandmother, Peggy Wright; and his in-laws, Bobby and Doris Horton; and the extended family.

Knowing that Steve was a giving man, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
