Michael Joe Hooten, 48, formerly of Paris passed away Sunday October 16, 2011 in Casa Grande, Arizona. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday October 22, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Knights of Honor cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday 7-8 p.m.

He was born June 14, 1963 in Dallas, Texas a son of Paul Henry and Zelma Juanita Wear Hooten. He was married to Glenna McKinney Hooten. He was a professional truck driver which was his passion and he was happiest while he was on the road.

He was preceded in death by his father Paul Henry Wear and both sets of grandparents Bill and Nellie Hooten and Bailey and Gracie Wear.

He is survived by his wife Glenna Hooten; mother Zelma Juanita Wear; son Michael James Hooten; sister Trena Renaye Hackler; half-brother Paul Clayton Hooten; half-sisters Kathie Laverents and Debrah Williams; uncles Jimmy Ward, Billy Wear, Melvin Wear, Raymond Wear, Charles Wear, Donald Wear and Bobby Wear; aunts Lemmie Chennault and Greta Baker, and numerous cousins and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wear, Ronnie Dooley, Brian Wear, Phillip Chennault, Ronnie Wear and Pete Fernandez.
