Costanza Allen passed away peacefully on May 2, 2012, at the age of 88, at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas on Saturday May 5th, at 12:30 pm.

Mrs. Allen was born on February 10, 1924 in Castelvetro, Italy. In 1949 she moved to Venezuela to join her brothers and father. She worked for the Shell Oil Company in Maracaibo, Venezuela and there she married Paul H. Derrick, a native of Roxton, Texas. While in Venezuela, Mrs. Allen was the proud owner of various successful dining establishments.

In 1980 Paul and Costanza moved to Paris, Texas. After Mr. Derrick’s death in 1984, she married Fred H. Allen of Blossom, Texas, in 1987.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lamar County Farm Bureau. In 1988 she received the Outstanding Soil Conservation Farmer of the Year Award for her work on her Roxton farm.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Allen.  Mrs. Allen is survived by her son Dr. Alex Radighieri and his wife Jeanine of Tyler, Texas; daughter Deborah Murovitz and her husband Allan of Plano, Texas; sister Rosanna Bettelli of Vignola, Italy; stepchildren Laurie Ryan and husband Jack of Missouri; Dan Allen and wife Lynne of New Jersey; Scott Allen of California; grandchildren Dr. Jeffrey Radighieri and fiancé Maureen Sorrells of Dallas; Greg Radighieri and wife Brooks of Dallas; Carol Radighieri of Tyler; Melissa Conkling and husband John of Austin; step grandchildren , James and David Allen of New Jersey  and Kaitlyn Schwers of Missouri;  great grandchildren Sophia Radighieri, Samantha and Bethany Conkling. She is also survived by various nieces and nephews, both in Italy and in Venezuela.
