Funeral services have been scheduled for Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
He was born on April 14, 1943 to George W. and Margie Beth Hindman Walker. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. He owned a service station for 22 years before retiring from North Lamar after 15 years of being the IPM Coordinator and bus driving. He was a member of
“PePaw” was a boisterous, toy fixing, loving, affectionate man that guided his family and adored his wife, Betty Kinslow, whom he married on August 6, 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Walker; one step-son, Thad McEntyre and wife Kelly; two daughters, Dee Wentworth and husband George, Nita Webb and husband Chris; one son, Grayson Walker and wife Angela; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Walker; brother, James Walker and wife Alice; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Margie Walker; one step-son, Chad McEntyre and a nephew, Frank Toland.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Paul Hostetler, Kent Whitaker, Matt McEntyre, Nick McEntyre, Stephen Morris and Jake Merritt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lester, Chris Washington and Tony Perry.
