Sebourn Edward Bryan, 83, of Paris, died at 12:10 AM, Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Paris Oaks Assisted Living Center.  Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 14, 2012 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Porter and Rev. Tim Reger officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.  Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bryan was born December 26, 1928 in Ralls, Texas to Roy Lee and Lydia Ioma Ballard Bryan.  He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Bryan married Norma Jean Porter on October 29, 1950 in Paris.  He worked for many years as the paint and body repairman for Burtrum-Woolston Chevrolet which later became Lowry Chevrolet.  After receiving his teaching degree from East Texas State University at the age of 50, he taught automotive body repair at Paris High School for ten years prior to his retirement.  Being an antique automobile enthusiast, Mr. Bryan was a very active member of the Red River Valley Honkers Automobile Club.  He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Bryan; one son, Royce Glen Bryan and wife, Donna of Lindenhurst, New York; three grandchildren, Christopher Glen Bryan and wife, Elizabeth of Lindenhurst, Kelly Marie Bryan Porcella and husband, Thomas Anthony Porcella II of Broad Channel, New York, and Megan Jean Bryan of Lindenhurst; four great-grandchildren, Emma Christine Bryan, Aidan Glen Bryan, Thomas Anthony Porcella III, and Silas John Porcella.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, J.T. Bryan; and his sister, Alva Ruth Bryan Usry.

Pall bearers will be Christopher Glen Bryan, Billy Porter, Charles McNeal, Joe Bryan, Jimmy McFadden, and David McFadden.  Members of the Red River Valley Honkers Club will be listed as honorary pallbearers.
