Mary Eula (Barron) Robinson, 92, went to her eternal home to be joined with her loved ones on July 22, 2012.   God blessed Mary with a long life surrounded by loving family and friends.  God granted Mary’s desire to live at home until her death because of loving caregivers Carla Coleman, Kelly Dagenhart and Glenda Garrison.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 27, 2012 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to service from 9:30 until 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Mary Eula (Barron) Robinson is known to her family and their friends as “Aunt Mary”.   She was born June 13, 1920 in Lamesa, Texas to Charles Arthur and Lillie Cornelia Barron who were among the first pioneer families to settle in Dawson  County, Texas.   Although Mary is not the youngest child of C.A and Lillie Barron, she is the last survivor of 10 children.

Mary Barron married John C. Robinson September 23, 1939.   Mary and John lived in the Welch community until retirement in 1974 from Cities Service Oil Company.  At that time, they moved to the Paris area to be near Mary’s youngest sister, Bessie Vance and her family.  Mary and John were married 38 years until John’s death in 1977.   Mary continued to live in the Paris area and to be an active member of the Maxey Baptist Church where she had many friends who loved and supported her until her death.

Mary’s family and friends benefited from her exceptional cooking and sewing skills.   Mary was always willing to step in and help when needed.   She never came to visit empty handed which always brought joy to others.

SURVIVORS - Mary Robinson is survived by the Vance children Melody Vance Taylor, Abbi Bryant Vance, Jan C. Johnson and J. Rick Vance with a host of other nieces and nephews.   She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 9 siblings and Kim Dwain Vance.

If desired, memorials may be made to Maxey Baptist Church Mission Fund, 602 CR 34440, Sumner, TX 75486.
