Bernard Patton (Pat) Lewis, 84, of Paris, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at his home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Meadowbrook Gardens cemetery with Rev Chad Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 6-7 p.m. He was born September 22, 1922 in Lamar County a son of Raleigh Bernard and Ella Barnes Patton Lewis. He married Joyce Christine Bryan Sept. 25, 1948 in Paris. He served his country in the Navy Sea Bees. He retired as an Oil Salesman with Blankinship Oil Company after 27 years of service and was a member of Blossom Lions Club and was past president in the 1960’s and 70’s. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blossom. He was preceded in death by a son Bobby Lewis. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce; a son Chris Lewis; grandchildren, Tony Lewis and wife Paige, Terra Brown and husband Jason, Kim Millard and husband D.J.; great grandchildren, Matthew Lewis, Jordan Brown and Jacob Brown, a brother Claude Lewis and several nieces and nephews.
