Clarmon Stanton Ramsey, 77, of Powderly passed away Tuesday November 20, 2007 in Dubuis Hospital. Mr. Ramsey was born on November 17, 1930 in Arthur City, Texas the son of Clarmon & Sina Turner Ramsey. He was a graduate of Powderly High School, attended Paris Junior College, and graduated from Lamar Business College. Stanton was a retired construction engineer with Texas Department of Transportation, was a member of Powderly Baptist Church, North Star Eight Square Dance Club, and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Ramsey married Dorothy Juanell Parks on July 17, 1954 at Bounds Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Juanell Parks Ramsey; daughter Kimberly Ramsey McClusky and husband Mike of Houston; grandson Reid McClusky of Houston; sister Roma Street and husband Jake of Paris. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday in the Powderly Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery with Don Bonham, Ken Brown, Bob Bone, Claude Jones, John Frank Bigony, Bobby Vaughan, and Joe Vaughan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
