Robert Eugene Simpson, 81 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services have been set for Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Lamar Point Baptist Church with his grandson, Kent Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday evening at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. He was born in Detroit, Texas on July 18, 1928 to John And Claytie Hardin Simpson. He married Rose June Nard on October 4, 1971 in Clovis, New Mexico. Robert was a loving father. He was always thinking of others and putting their needs before his. He always reached out and helped anyone that was in need and would go the extra mile for anyone. He will truly be missed by all of those that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Rose June Simpson; children, Ronnie Simpson, Teresa Clemons and husband Charlie, Karen Hall and husband Matt, Myrtle Parnell and husband Earl, Jimmy Beeson and wife Claudia and Mike Beeson; grandchildren, Kent Davis, Brian Simpson, John Simpson, Jason Ault, Justin Ault, Robbin Beeson, Rogina Beeson, Krissy Beeson, Holli Munis, Mike Beeson II, Amber Beeson and Heather Beeson, 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Chester Simpson; sister, Sally Pryor. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Claytie Simpson; son, Bobby Beeson; sisters, Mafelda Thorne and Helena McCoin; brothers, Morgan Simpson, Dick Simpson and Jim Simpson. Serving as Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cole, Ronnie Bass, Brian Simpson, Rickey Simpson, Jimmy Beeson and John Simpson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl Parnell and Brandon Thompson. The family requests that memorials be made to the Lamar Point Baptist Church Youth Group at 5758 FM 1500; Paris, Texas 75460.
