MARTI BLASSINGAME 63, died on March 14, 2010 at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was born Ruth Annirene Martin on July 25, 1946 in Clarendon, Texas a daughter of Clyde “Shine” Martin and Nadine Haile Martin. She became the beloved wife of Jackie E. Blassingame on February 14, 1976. He adopted her two daughters from a previous marriage and together they had the joyous birth of a son. She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren and various relatives as follows: daughter and son-in-law, Keli S. and Alan D. Vargo and their two sons, Christian A. and Isaac A. Vargo of Paris; daughter, Toni J. Blassingame of Paris; son and daughter-in-law, Casey R. and Lacy A. Blassingame along with their children, Lochlann R. and Kieran A. Blassingame of Texarkana, Arkansas. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and David Lane of Clarendon, Texas; and a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Lindell Martin of Crotez, Colorado. She is also survived by many other extended family members. Services will not be held as she has donated her body to the Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas. Family and friends are welcome at her home at 2235 Briarwood Drive, Paris, Texas 75460 at any time. Phone calls welcome at 903-785-3776.
