Dixie Lou Hale , 64, of Chicota passed away May 4, 2010 in Dubuis Hospital. She was born on February 25, 1946 a daughter of Richard and Golie Vaughan Henson. Mrs. Hale was a member of the Chicota Baptist Church where she was church pianist for over 20 years and was a cafeteria employee of Aaron Parker Elementary School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Owin Hale on December 28, 2009. They were married on April 21, 1967 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Evelyn Wynn, and a brother Alvin Henson. Survivors include her daughter Patty Mohler and husband David of Reno; two grandchildren Haley Terrell Mohler and Devin Terrell; great- granddaughter Christy Madelyn Mohler; sisters and brother; Altha Alder, Fae Chapman, Nora Henson, and Elmer Henson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday May 7, 2010 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Little John Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 till 8 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
